The Cofaso-s forte 3gm injection composition includes Cefoperazone and Sulbactam:

• Cefoperazone works by stopping bacteria from forming protective cell walls, leading to bacterial death.

• Sulbactam enhances the effect of Cefoperazone by blocking beta-lactamase enzymes that can make bacteria resistant to antibiotics.

Together, they provide a broader and more effective antibacterial action.

Before starting treatment, inform your doctor about:

• Prescription medications

• Over-the-counter drugs

• Vitamin and nutritional supplements

• Herbal products

Some drugs may interact with Cofaso S Forte Injection, affecting its effectiveness or increasing side effect risks.

• Storage: Store at a temperature below 25°C, away from direct sunlight.

• Keep out of reach: Store safely out of the reach of children and pets.

• Packaging note: Always use from the original container supplied by the manufacturer.

Do not self-administer this injection. It will be given by a healthcare professional as:

• An intravenous (IV) infusion, or

• An intramuscular (IM) injection

Your doctor will determine the dosage and duration based on the severity of your infection, body weight, age, and overall health condition.

Like all medicines, Cofaso-S Forte 3gm Injection may cause side effects. However, not everyone experiences them.

Common Cofaso-S forte 3gm injection side effects:

• Nausea and vomiting

• Headache

• Diarrhea

• Allergic skin reactions

• Anemia

• Abnormal liver function test results

• Pain, redness, or swelling at the injection site

Serious Adverse Events:

• Severe allergic reactions (Anaphylaxis)

• Severe skin reactions (Stevens-Johnson syndrome, toxic epidermal necrolysis)

• Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea (CDAD)

• Hepatotoxicity (Liver injury)

• Coagulation disorders (Bleeding tendency)

• Hemolytic anemia

• Neutropenia or leukopenia (Low white blood cells)

• Renal dysfunction (Kidney problems)

Inform your doctor if any side effect worsens or persists.

• Always complete the full course, even if you feel better midway.

• Avoid alcohol during treatment and for at least 5 days after your last dose.

• Do not skip doses.

• Maintain proper hand hygiene to prevent reinfection.
