Denu 60mg Injection is used in the treatment of the following condition:

• Osteoporosis

• Bone loss due to hormonal therapy in breast or prostate cancer

• Multiple myeloma (cancer affects plasma cells in the bone marrow)

• Bone metastases (cancer that spreads to bone)

Denu 60mg Injection has therapeutic effects that include reducing fracture risk, increasing bone mineral density, and improving overall bone health. By inhibiting bone resorption through its action on RANK ligands, this medication helps to strengthen bones and decrease the likelihood of fractures in individuals with osteoporosis or those at high risk. Taking Denu 60mg Injection (denosumab) with any of the following medicines can change the effect of either of them and may increase the risk of side effects.

Other medicines affecting bone metabolism such as Bisphosphonates (Oral/Injection Route) Moderate
Use with caution.
Concomitant use may increase the risk of severe low calcium levels and bone related complications.

Corticosteroids such as Prednisolone or Dexamethasone (Oral/Injection Route) Moderate
Use under medical supervision.
Long term use together may increase the risk of infections and bone complications such as osteonecrosis of the jaw.

Immunosuppressants such as Cyclosporine or Tacrolimus (Oral/Injection Route) Moderate
Use carefully.
Taking these medicines together may increase the risk of infections.

Loop diuretics such as Furosemide (Oral/Injection Route) Moderate
Use with caution.
Concomitant use may increase the risk of low calcium levels in the blood.

Anticancer therapies (Oral/Injection Route) Moderate
Use under specialist supervision.
When used together, there may be an increased risk of infections and bone complications.

• Denu 60mg Injection should be stored in the refrigerator at a temperature between 2°C to 8°C (36°F to 46°F).

• Do not freeze it.

• Keep in the original package.

• Keep away from light, moisture, and heat.

• Keep away from children and pets.

• Avoid taking double doses for missed doses.

Denu 60mg Injection is given as an injection by healthcare professionals. The dosage and duration of treatment will be based on the individual's condition and response to the medication and should be determined by a healthcare provider.

Denu 60mg Injection can cause side effects like all medications, although not everyone who takes it will experience them. 

Serious:

• Osteonecrosis of the jaw (severe necrosis or death of jaw cells)

• Atypical femoral fractures

• Hypocalcemia (low blood calcium levels)

Common: 

• Injection site reactions

• Back pain

• Musculoskeletal pain

• Infections

• Abdominal pain

• Headache

• Hypophosphatemia (low blood phosphate levels)
