Docecad 20mg uses are to treat:

• Non-small cell lung cancer
• Breast cancer
• Stomach or gastric cancer
• Prostate cancer
• Head and neck cancer

Docecad 20mg Injection works by disrupting the structure called microtubules inside cancer cells. These microtubules help cancer cells divide and grow. By preventing this, the medicine slows down and stops the multiplication of cancer cells, eventually helping to shrink the tumor.

Inform your doctor if you are taking:

• Other chemotherapy agents

• Live vaccines (avoid during treatment)

• Medicines for infections, epilepsy, or heart conditions

• Herbal or over-the-counter supplements

Some medicines can interact with Docecad and may increase the risk of side effects or reduce its effectiveness.

• Keep Docecad Injection out of sight and reach of children.
• Store in a refrigerator (2 - 8°C).
• Do not freeze.

Docecad 20mg Injection is given by a doctor or nurse as an intravenous drip (IV infusion), usually in a hospital or clinic setting. It is not something you can take on your own. The dose of medicine you receive and how often you get it will depend on your body weight, the type of cancer being treated, and how well you’re responding to the treatment.

Your doctor may also prescribe other medicines, like steroids, before and after the infusion to help prevent side effects such as swelling or allergic reactions. It’s important to attend all your scheduled appointments and follow your doctor’s instructions closely. If you miss a dose or an appointment, inform your healthcare provider right away.

Like most chemotherapy medicines, Docecad 20mg Injection can cause side effects. Most are manageable, but some may need medical attention.

Common side effects:

• Fatigue or weakness

• Hair loss

• Nausea, vomiting

• Loss of appetite

• Constipation or diarrhea

• Swelling (edema) in hands or feet

• Mouth ulcers or sore throat

• Nail changes (discoloration or brittleness)

• Muscle or joint pain

• Altered sense of taste

• Low blood cell count (increased risk of infections)

Serious side effects:

• Unexplained bruising or bleeding

• High fever or persistent sore throat

• Severe allergic reaction (rash, itching, swelling)

• Severe abdominal pain or diarrhea

• Shortness of breath

Your doctor may monitor your blood counts and liver function regularly during treatment.

• To reduce side effects like fluid retention, your doctor may give corticosteroids before and after treatment.

• Stay hydrated and eat small, frequent meals to manage nausea.

• Report any persistent fever, unusual bleeding, or severe fatigue to your doctor immediately.

• Women of childbearing potential should use reliable birth control during and for 6 months after treatment.

• Men receiving Docecad are also advised to use contraception and avoid fathering a child for at least 6 months after the last dose.
