The Duplat Depot 11.25mg Injection is used in the treatment of the following:

• Prostate cancer
• Hormone-responsive breast cancer in perimenopausal (around menopause) women
• Endometriosis (a painful illness in which the tissue that normally lines the inside of the uterus grows outside of your uterus)
• Central precocious puberty (a child’s body begins to change into an adult too soon caused by a release of certain hormones)

Duplat Depot 11.25mg Injection decreases testosterone or estrogen production, depending on the treated condition. This helps to slow the growth of cancer cells, reduce the size of uterine fibroids, and alleviate the symptoms of endometriosis and early onset of puberty.

Inform your healthcare provider about all the medicines you take, including prescription, over-the-counter, nutritional and vitamin supplements, vaccines, and herbal products. Certain medications such as Quinidine, Procainamide, Amiodarone, Sotalol, Pain killers, and Antibiotics may interact with the effects of Duplat Depot 11.25mg Injection and reduce its effectiveness by causing undesirable side effects.

• Keep Duplat Depot 11.25mg Injection out of sight and reach of children.
• Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct heat and light.
• Store below 25°C
• Do not refrigerate or freeze.

Duplat Depot 11.25mg Injection is usually administered in the arm, thigh or abdomen. If this injection is recommended for you, it will be given by a healthcare professional. Do not self-administer. Your physician will choose the dosage and administration frequency based on the medical condition because it differs for each person.

Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all medicines cause side effects, not everyone gets them.

Serious side effects of Duplat Depot 11.25mg Injection are:

• Severe rash, itching
• Shortness or difficulty in breath
• Cough with blood
• Pulmonary embolism
• Severe headache

Common side effects of Duplat Depot 11.25mg Injection are:

• Altered blood sugar and cholesterol levels
• Injection site reactions
• Loss of appetite
• Abnormal liver function
• Swelling in the ankle or hand
• Difficulty sleeping, headache
• Mood swings, depression
• Weight changes
• Nausea, vomiting
• Vaginal dryness, bleeding
• Loss of interest in sexual intercourse
• Hot flushes
• Bone pain, muscle weakness
• Breast tenderness

During the treatment of breast cancer with Duplat Depot 11.25mg Injection, it is recommended to undergo regular checkups every three months in combination with an aromatase inhibitor. Do not receive this injection if you experience any abnormal vaginal bleeding. Consult your doctor immediately if you or your child is suffering from a headache even after treating it with painkillers, vision problems, buzzing, or ringing in the ear. If you have diabetes, ask your doctor to monitor your glucose and blood sugar levels regularly. Before starting, inform your doctor if you are still menstruating.
