Introduction
Prolemax 11.25mg Injection consists of the active ingredient Leuprolide acetate. It belongs to the class of medicines called Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone (GnRH) agonists. Prolemax 11.25mg Injection is prescribed for prostate cancer in men, hormone-responsive breast cancer, endometriosis (where tissue that normally lines the uterus grows outside of it), and uterine fibroids (noncancerous growths of the uterus) in women. This medicine is also used in treating premature puberty (central precocious puberty), a condition where a child’s body begins to develop adult features earlier than expected due to abnormal hormonal release.
Do not receive this injection if you are allergic to Leuprolide acetate or any other related ingredients, such as Goserelin and Triptorlin. Before receiving this medicine, inform your physician if you have liver or kidney impairment, or if you have undiagnosed abnormal uterine bleeding. This treatment should not be taken if you are pregnant or planning pregnancy. During therapy, existing symptoms may temporarily worsen because of increased sex steroid levels in the body. Speak to your physician about any concerns, and report immediately if your child has a progressive brain tumor.
Before starting the treatment, notify your doctor if you have any underlying medical conditions, including diabetes, seizures, heart problems (chest pain or irregular heartbeat), depression, or osteoporosis (bone thinning risk). This medicine is not recommended in pregnant and breastfeeding women or in patients with abnormal vaginal bleeding. Women of childbearing age should use non-hormonal contraceptives during treatment with Prolemax 11.25mg Injection. Male patients should inform their doctor if they have urinary obstruction, have undergone testicle removal surgery, or experience spinal cord pressure, urinary problems, or haematuria (blood in urine).
For patients searching treatment and pricing details of similar hormone-related therapies, Aggramed injection, also referred to as inj Aggramed or Aggramed inj, is another prescribed option for certain conditions. If considering this, it is advisable to check with your healthcare provider about its suitability and the Aggramed inj price before use
