Exelon Patch 10 (9.5mg) Patch belongs to the family cholinesterase inhibitors with an active ingredient called Rivastigmine. It treats mild to moderately severe Alzheimer's dementia in adults. Alzheimer's is a condition where a progressive brain disorder affects memory, intellect, and behavior. In this condition, specific nerve cells in the brain die, leading to reduced levels of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine, which is essential for nerve cell communication. This medicine works by blocking the enzymes that break down acetylcholine, which helps reduce Alzheimer's symptoms. Additionally, it is also used to treat dementia in adult patients with Parkinson's disease. 

Do not use Exelon Patch 10 (9.5mg) Patch if you are allergic to Rivastigmine and its other ingredients. Do not use this patch if you experience a skin reaction that spreads beyond the patch area or an intense local reaction like blisters, increased skin inflammation, or swelling that does not improve within 48 hours after removing the patch; you should avoid this and inform your doctor promptly. This patch is not suitable for children with Alzheimer's disease.
