Introduction to Herti 150mg Injection
Herti 150mg Injection consists of Trastuzumab as an active constituent, which is indicated for its use in HER 2 breast cancer. In HER 2 positive patients, the breast cancer cells are mostly composed of HER2 proteins that cause rapid development of cancer tumours by serving as a signal to the cancerous. This medication is also used to treat metastatic gastric cancer with increased levels of HER2 proteins.
Her 2 positive breast cancers are most aggressive in nature. The targeted therapy for her 2 positive breast cancer works by selectively targeting the proteins that are responsible for the growth, development, and spread of cancer. Use effective birth control during the treatment and for at least 7 months after the final dose.
Herti 150mg Injection is not recommended for patients aged under 18, patients who have severe breathing problems or need oxygen treatment. It is necessary to let your physician know if you have any heart problems, breathlessness, or have ever had any other cancer treatment. Make sure you inform your physician of all the medicines, including supplements and herbal medicines, you are taking before you start treatment with this medication.
Uses of Herti 150mg Injection
Herti 150mg Injection is indicated for its use in the following conditions:
- Advanced and metastatic breast cancer
- Metastatic gastric cancer
Therapeutic Effects of Herti 150mg Injection
The protein called HER2 (human epidermal growth factor receptor 2) is found in abundant amounts on the surface of certain cancer cells, where it stimulates cancer growth. Herti 150mg Injection selectively binds to HER2 and stops the growth of cancer cells.

- Keep Herti 150mg Injection out of sight and reach of children.
- Store between 2˚C and 8˚C.
How to consume Herti 150mg Injection
- Herti 150mg Injection shall either be administered before or after surgery.
- It will be given as an Intravenous infusion for 90 minutes, if well tolerated it shall be administered within 30 minutes for the next doses.

Pregnancy
Discuss with your physician before taking this Herti 150mg Injection if you are pregnant or think you might be pregnant. Do not take this medicine during the pregnancy unless advised by the doctor to take as it may cause to the unborn baby.
Breast Feeding
Avoid breastfeeding your baby while on the treatment with Herti 150mg Injection at least for at least seven months after the final dose.
Lungs
You need to tell your physician if you have any lung disorders before starting Herti 150mg Injection, as it requires dosage adjustment for severe liver impairment.
Liver
You need to tell your physician if you have any liver disorders before starting Herti 150mg Injection, as it requires dosage adjustment for severe liver impairment.
Alcohol
Consult your doctor if it is safe to consume alcohol while you are on treatment with Herti 150mg Injection.
Driving
Herti 150mg Injection can cause unusual tiredness and dizziness. Hence, it is advised to avoid driving or handling machinery during the treatment.
