Panto BSV 40mg Injection contains Pantoprazole as an active ingredient. It is used to treat reflux oesophagitis (inflammation of the tube connecting the throat to your stomach caused by reflux of acid from the stomach), stomach, and duodenal ulcers. It is also used to treat Zollinger-Ellison syndrome (tumours form in the pancreas or duodenum, leading to too much production of stomach acid). 

Talk to your physician if you have severe liver problems, if you are taking atazanavir (which treats HIV infection), or if you are due to have a specific blood test (chromogranin A). 

Long-term acid exposure can cause damage to the oesophagus, leading to conditions such as Barrett's oesophagus, which can increase the risk of developing oesophagal cancer. By reducing the amount of acid in the stomach, Panto BSV 40mg Injection can help to prevent this damage. 

Panto BSV 40mg Injection is not recommended for adolescents and children under 18. Administration of this medicine for a long duration may lead to low magnesium levels in the blood. This may cause tiredness, convulsions, increased heart rate, or muscle contractions. Report to your physician if you experience any of these symptoms.

Panto BSV 40mg Injection is used in the treatment of

• Reflux oesophagitis
• Stomach and duodenal ulcers
• Zollinger-Ellison-Syndrome

The therapeutic effect of Panto BSV 40mg Injection is related to its ability to reduce the amount of acid produced in the stomach. This can help to relieve symptoms of acid reflux, such as heartburn, regurgitation, and difficulty swallowing, by reducing the irritation of the esophagus caused by stomach acid. This medication also helps to heal and prevent the recurrence of ulcers in the stomach and duodenum by reducing the acidity in the digestive system.

Inform your healthcare provider about all your medicines, including prescription, over-the-counter, nutritional or vitamin supplements, and herbal products. Certain medications may interact with Panto BSV 40mg Injection, reducing effectiveness by causing undesirable side effects.

• Store in a refrigerator between 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F).
• Keep away from moisture, heat, and light.
• It should not be frozen.
• Keep it in its original packaging until it is ready to be used.
• Keep out of the reach of children and pets.

Panto BSV 40mg Injection is usually taken once a day, either in the morning or evening, before meal by a healthcare professional. The recommended dosage can vary depending on the type of cancer being treated and other factors such as your overall health and response to treatment. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.

Like all medications, Panto BSV 40mg Injections cause some side effects, although not everyone will experience them. 

Serious side effects of Panto BSV 40mg Injection are:

• Severe allergic reactions (such as difficulty breathing, hives, or swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat)
• Severe diarrhoea (with blood or mucus)
• Stomach pain or cramping
• Fever
• Joint pain or muscle weakness
• Unusual tiredness or fatigue
• Yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice)
• Dark urine or pale stools

Common side effects of Panto BSV 40mg Injection are:

• Headache
• Nausea
• Diarrhea
• Abdominal pain
• Flatulence
• Constipation
• Rash
• Dizziness
