Introduction to Peg Ancount Injection
Peg-ancount injection contains an active component called pegfilgrastim. It belongs to a class of proteins known as cytokines, which resemble the granulocyte-colony stimulating factor in the body. It is used for neutropenia (low white blood count) caused by chemotherapeutic drugs. The chemotherapeutic drug may reduce the white blood cells that act as a defence system of our body.
