Introduction
Relucien 120mg Tablet contains an active component called Relugolix, which belongs to a class of medicine called gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) receptor antagonists. It is used to treat adults with advanced hormone-sensitive prostate cancer.
Inform your doctor if you have a severe kidney disorder before using the medicine. Consult your doctor if you have an allergy to relugolix or sodium or any of the ingredients present in them. Speak with your doctor if you have a bone disorder or weakened bone. Because long-term use of the drug may lead to decreased bone density in males due to the suppression of testosterone, inform your doctor if you are trying to become a father or use an effective contraceptive while under medication; it may cause fertility problems in males.
Consult your doctor if you have a heart problem before using the medicine. This medicine is not intended for the use of pregnant and breastfeeding women, and it might increase the risk of pregnancy in pregnant women. Relucien price varies by retailer.

How Relucien 120mg Tablet Works
Relucien 120mg Tablet can competitively bind to pituitary GnRH receptors, thereby reducing the release of luteinising hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), which results in a reduction of testosterone levels in men with prostate cancer.
Interaction of Relucien 120mg Tablet with other drugs
P-gp Inhibitors such as Clarithromycin or Verapamil (Severe)
These medicines can increase relugolix levels in the blood, raising the risk of side effects. Dose spacing or close medical supervision is required.Strong Enzyme Inducers like Rifampicin or Carbamazepine (Severe)
Such drugs can speed up relugolix breakdown and reduce its effectiveness. Combined use is generally avoided unless treatment is adjusted.QT Prolonging Medicines (Moderate)
Antiarrhythmics and certain antipsychotics may add to relugolix related heart rhythm effects. ECG monitoring is recommended when used together.Apalutamide (Moderate)
Apalutamide can reduce relugolix exposure and weaken treatment response. Doctors may monitor therapy closely or modify dosing.Hormonal Therapies affecting Androgens (Moderate)
Using other androgen suppressing medicines alongside relugolix may increase side effect risk. Clinical monitoring helps ensure safety.Oral P-gp Inhibitors taken close together (Mild)
Taking these at the same time may raise relugolix absorption. Separating doses by several hours helps reduce adverse effects.
