Introduction
Samtica 500mg Tablet contains the active constituent abirakast acetate. It is prescribed for adult men to treat prostate cancer that has spread to other parts of the body. This aligns with established Makterone 250mg uses, as the medication is typically given along with a steroid to reduce the risk of side effects. When prescribed in the early stages of prostate cancer, it is used together with testosterone-lowering treatments. This medicine is not intended for use in women or children, and effective contraception must be used throughout treatment. Since this medicine contains lactose and sodium, inform your physician if you are lactose intolerant or on a salt-controlled diet.
Inform your physician if you have liver problems, high blood pressure, heart disorders, low blood potassium levels, diabetes, allergic conditions, or any other medical issues. It is also important to inform your doctor about all medications you are taking, including supplements and herbal products, before starting treatment.
The most common side effects of this medication include swelling in the feet or legs, high blood pressure, and diarrhoea. A decrease in red blood cells and reduced sex drive may also occur with the use of Samtica 500mg Tablet. This medicine should not be taken together with Ra-223, a medication used for prostate cancer.

Interaction of Samtica 500mg Tablet with other drugs
Taking Samtica 500mg Tablet (mycophenolate mofetil) with any of the following medicines can change the effects of either medicine and may increase the risk of side effects.
Live vaccines such as Measles, Mumps, Rubella, or BCG (Injection Route), Life-threatening
Do not receive live vaccines during treatment.
This medicine weakens the immune system and may increase the risk of serious infections after vaccination.Azathioprine or other strong immunosuppressants (Oral/Injection Route) Life-threatening
Use only under strict medical supervision.
Taking these medicines together may greatly increase the risk of severe infections and bone marrow suppression.Antacids containing Magnesium or Aluminium (Oral Route) Moderate
Do not take at the same time.
These medicines may reduce the absorption of mycophenolate and lower its effectiveness.Cholestyramine (Oral Route) Moderate
Avoid concomitant use unless advised.

How to take Samtica 500mg Tablet
The medicine should always be consumed as per the direction of your physician or pharmacist. The drug should be taken by mouth. It should not be taken with food. Swallow the tablets whole with water without breaking them. Food must be eaten at least 2 hours before taking the medication and must not be eaten for at least 1 hour after taking the medicine. Women who are pregnant or who may become pregnant should not touch this medication without gloves.
