Sembolic 3 Tablet is used to:

• Manage type 2 diabetes mellitus: It helps improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes when used along with diet and exercise.

• It may be prescribed alone or with other diabetes medicines, depending on your treatment plan.

Sembolic 3 Tablet is not used to treat type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis.

Sembolic 3 Tablet contains Semaglutide, which acts like GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1), a natural hormone involved in blood sugar regulation.

It helps the body release more insulin when blood sugar is high and reduces the release of glucagon, a hormone that raises blood sugar. It also slows stomach emptying, which can affect appetite and the rate at which glucose enters the bloodstream.

Tell your doctor about all medicines, supplements and herbal products you use.

• Insulin or sulfonylureas: Taking Sembolic with these medicines may increase the risk of low blood sugar. Your doctor may adjust their dose.

• Other oral medicines: Semaglutide can delay stomach emptying and may affect the absorption of some medicines taken by mouth.

• Other semaglutide-containing medicines: Do not use Sembolic together with another Semaglutide medicine unless your doctor specifically advises you to do so.

• Other GLP-1 receptor agonists: Combining them with Sembolic is generally not recommended unless prescribed by your doctor.

• Store Sembolic 3 Tablet at room temperature as directed on the product packaging.

• Keep the tablets in their original container until use.

• Protect them from moisture.

• Keep out of sight and reach of children.

• Do not use the tablets after the expiry date.

Take Sembolic 3 Tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor.

• Take it once daily, preferably at the same time each day.

• Take it on an empty stomach when you first wake up.

• Swallow the tablet whole with a small amount of plain water.

• Do not split, crush or chew the tablet.

• Wait at least 30 minutes before eating, drinking anything other than water, or taking other oral medicines.

• Do not increase the dose on your own. The 3 mg tablet is generally used as the starting dose before the dose is increased as prescribed.

The way you take this tablet is important because food, drinks and other oral medicines can reduce the amount of Semaglutide absorbed.

Common side effects:

• Nausea

• Vomiting

• Diarrhoea

• Constipation

• Abdominal pain

• Decreased appetite

• Indigestion

• Headache

• Dizziness

These effects are more likely when treatment is started or the dose is increased and may improve as your body adjusts.

Serious side effects:

• Pancreatitis

• Severe allergic reaction

• Dehydration and kidney problems following persistent vomiting or diarrhoea

• Gallbladder problems

• Worsening diabetic retinopathy or vision changes

• Low blood sugar when used with insulin or sulfonylureas

Seek medical attention if you develop severe or persistent abdominal pain, particularly if it spreads to your back.

• Take Sembolic exactly as prescribed and follow the 30-minute waiting period before food, drinks or other oral medicines.

• Do not take the tablet with tea, coffee, juice or other drinks. Use plain water.

• Do not take two tablets to make up for a missed dose.

• Tell your doctor if you have a history of pancreatitis, diabetic retinopathy, gallbladder problems or severe stomach problems.

• If you use insulin or a sulfonylurea, learn the symptoms of low blood sugar and follow your doctor's monitoring advice.

• Tell your doctor before any surgery or procedure requiring anaesthesia or deep sedation.

• Do not combine Sembolic with another Semaglutide-containing medicine unless specifically prescribed.
