Introduction to Tafnat EM Tablet
Tafnat EM Tablet contains two active substances, Emtricitabine and Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate. These medications are a part of the standard combination therapy for HIV, known as antiretroviral therapy (ART). It is a combination drug regimen that is commonly used for the effective treatment of HIV-1 infection. When used correctly and consistently, Emtricitabine and Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate have demonstrated high efficacy in HIV treatment and prevention.
Antiviral medications are helpful in postponing the effects of AIDS and enhancing the overall quality of life. For individuals with high viral loads, this combo therapy is ideal. Although this medication greatly lowers the risk of viral infection, it does not treat HIV, and there is still a chance that HIV will spread to other individuals. It is given to adults and kids over the age of 12 with a body weight of more than 35 kg.
These should not be used in individuals with known hypersensitivity or severe allergic reactions to Emtricitabine, Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate, or any medication components. This medication is not recommended in individuals who have severe renal impairment or end-stage renal disease who are not receiving hemodialysis.
