Taxim 1gm Injection should not be used in individuals with known hypersensitivity or severe allergic reactions to cephalosporin antibiotics or any of the components of the medication. It can worsen these conditions or lead to antibiotic-associated diarrhea. This medication should be used cautiously in neonates (newborn infants) with jaundice. Taxim 1gm Injection should not be mixed or administered simultaneously with calcium-containing solutions or products, such as lactated Ringer's or parenteral nutrition containing calcium. These solutions can cause precipitation and inactivation of this medication.

Serious:

• Severe allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling, severe dizziness, difficulty breathing)
• Severe skin reactions (Stevens-Johnson syndrome or toxic epidermal necrolysis)
• Liver dysfunction
• Hepatitis
• Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea
• Agranulocytosis (severe decrease in white blood cells)
• Thrombocytopenia (low platelet count)
• Anemia (decrease red blood cell)

Common:

• Diarrhea
• Nausea and vomiting
• Skin rash or itching
• Injection site reactions (for intravenous or intramuscular administration)
