Multiple myeloma is a type of cancer occurring in the plasma cells of the white blood cells. These plasma cells get accumulated in the bone marrow and divide uncontrollably, leading to damage in bone and kidneys.
Thalix 50mg Capsule is also prescribed for treating skin lesions in leprosy. Leprosy is a chronic disease that affects the skin and nerves and is caused by a bacteria named Mycobacterium leprae.
Uses of Thalix 50mg Capsule:
- Adjunct to Dexamethasone for the treatment of newly diagnosed multiple myeloma.
- Treatment of moderate to severe leprosy
- Prevention of recurrence of skin lesions in leprosy.
How Thalix 50mg Capsule Works:
Thalix 50mg Capsule reduces inflammation and regulates the immune system. It works by enabling the body’s immune system and attacking the cancer cells. It inhibits tumor necrosis factor-alpha, increases the production of interleukin-10 and interacts with the T-cells to generate an immune response. It halts the growth of blood vessels in cancer cells and arrests their development.
Interaction with other drugs:
Inform your doctor about any medications you are taking or have taken before the treatment.
