Tranlok 500 Injection 5ml acts by stopping the breakdown of blood clots. It does this by blocking the lysine binding site on a plasminogen protein. This prevents plasminogen from breaking down fibrin, a key component of blood clots, and helps to maintain clot stability. In simpler terms, it helps to keep blood clots intact and prevents excessive bleeding.

1. Thrombin or Other Procoagulants (Life-threatening)
   Using tranexamic acid with agents that actively promote clot formation can dangerously increase the risk of excessive clotting. This combination should be strictly avoided.

2. Hormonal Contraceptives Containing Estrogen (Severe)
   Estrogen-based contraceptives already raise clot risk. When combined with tranexamic acid, the chance of deep vein thrombosis or pulmonary embolism becomes significantly higher. Medical guidance is essential.

3. Anticoagulants like Warfarin or Heparin (Moderate)
   These medicines have opposing actions. Their combined use may either reduce the effectiveness of anticoagulation or create unstable clotting control. Close INR or coagulation monitoring is required.

4. Tissue Plasminogen Activators such as Alteplase (Moderate)
   Tranexamic acid can counteract the effects of fibrinolytic drugs, making them less effective. Doctors may adjust timing or dosing when both are needed.

5. Progestin-Only Contraceptives (Mild)
   These may slightly raise the risk of clot formation when used with tranexamic acid, but the interaction is generally mild. Monitoring is advised in women with existing risk factors.

1. Long-term use of Tranlok 500 Injection 5ml may cause vision changes, so regular eye checkups are important.
