Introduction
Xarelto 10mg Tablet 10's contains the active ingredient Rivaroxaban. It is an anticoagulant that belongs to the Xa inhibitors. It treats deep vein thrombosis (DVT, a blood clot usually present in the leg) and pulmonary embolism (PE, a blood clot in the lung) in adults. It also prevents DVT and PE from recurring after initial treatment in adults. It is also used to help prevent strokes or serious blood clots in adults who have atrial fibrillation (a condition in which the heart beats irregularly, increasing the chance of clots forming in the body and possibly causing strokes) that is not caused by heart valve disease.
Xarelto 10 mg tablets (10's) are also indicated in children and adolescents under 18 years with a body weight of 30kg or more to treat blood clots. It is also used to prevent recurrence of blood clots in the veins or the blood vessels of the lungs, after at least 5 days of initial treatment with injectable medicines used to treat blood clots. Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to rivaroxaban or any of the other ingredients of this medicine. Do not take this medicine if you are bleeding excessively. Do not take this medicine if you have a disease or condition in an organ that increases the risk of serious bleeding.
Do not take this medicine if you have liver disease, which leads to an increased bleeding risk. Do not take Xarelto 10mg Tablet 10's if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Inform your physician if you have liver disease, heart problems, a family history of heart disease, kidney problems, bleeding disorders, lung diseases, and high blood pressure. Tell your physician if you plan to have any surgeries, including dental procedures, during treatment with this medicine.

How Xarelto 10mg Tablet 10's Works
Xarelto 10 mg tablet 10's selectively inhibits factor Xa without the need for a cofactor (eg, antithrombin III) for activity. It works by blocking a blood-clotting factor (factor Xa), reducing the blood's tendency to form clots.
Interaction of Xarelto 10mg Tablet 10's with other drugs
Inform your healthcare provider about all the medicines you take, including prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, nutritional and vitamin supplements, and herbal products. Certain medications interact with Xarelto 10mg Tablet 10's and reduce its effectiveness by causing undesirable side effects.

How To Use
It is an orally available prescription drug. Your doctor will decide the dose and duration of Xarelto 10mg Tablet 10's based on the disease condition and other factors. Always take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. Take the tablet at the same time as food. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. If you have difficulty swallowing, consult your doctor about other ways to take the tablet. If necessary, you may crush this tablet and mix it with water.

Pregnancy
Do not take Xarelto 10 mg tablets (10s) if you are pregnant because this may harm the unborn baby. Inform your physician if you are pregnant, suspect you are pregnant, or plan to get pregnant during the treatment. Use effective contraception during the treatment.
Breast Feeding
Breastfeeding is not recommended for patients taking Xarelto 10 mg tablets 10's because the medicine passes into breast milk in small amounts and may harm your baby. Do not breastfeed during the treatment.
Lungs
Xarelto 10 mg tablets 10's should be taken cautiously in patients with lung problems. Inform your physician if you have any lung disease before starting treatment.
Liver
Xarelto 10 mg tablets 10's should be taken cautiously in patients with liver problems. Dose adjustments are necessary for severe liver failure. Inform your physician if you have any liver disease before initiating treatment.
Alcohol
It is unsafe to consume alcohol while taking Xarelto 10 mg tablets 10's. Inform your doctor about your drinking habits.
Driving
Xarelto 10mg Tablet 10's may cause dizziness and drowsiness. Driving or operating heavy machinery is unsafe if you experience any symptoms that affect your ability to concentrate and react.
