Introduction to Neotagmin P Injection

Neotagmin P injection contains two active ingredients, glycopyrronium, and neostigmine, which belong to the anticholinergics and cholinesterase inhibitors groups, respectively. The drug has effectively reversed the action of certain muscle relaxants used in the surgery.

Inform your doctor if you have a heart or kidney problem before taking the medicine. Consult your doctor if you are allergic to sodium or  glycopyrronium, and neostigmine or any of the ingredients in them. Discuss your prescribed and non-prescribed medicine and your previous health history with your doctor; it will be helpful for them to treat you based on your condition. Children and elderly patients should be cautious while taking this medicine. Consult your doctor if you are planning to get pregnant or think you may be pregnant while breastfeeding.

Uses of Neotagmin P Injection

  • Reversal of muscle relaxation

Therapeutic Effects of Neotagmin P Injection

Neostigmine inhibits the enzyme acetylcholinesterase to increase the availability of acetylcholine at the motor endplate. This has an antagonizing effect on the non-depolarising nerve and muscular blockade. Glycopyrrolate counteracts the undesirable effects caused by neostigmine by blocking the action of acetylcholine present in nerves and smooth muscles. This combination reverses the muscle relaxation produced by medications that relax muscles.

Interaction of Neotagmin P Injection with other drugs

Inform the doctor about your medicines, including prescription, over-the-counter, nutritional or vitamin supplements, and herbal products. Certain medications may interact with neotagmin P injection, reducing effectiveness by causing undesirable side effects.
