GLYCOPYRROLATE,NEOSTIGMINE METHYLSULPHATE
Manufacturer : SALS LTDOrigin of Medicine : IndiaIntroduction:
Salreverse 5ml Injection consist of the active ingredients Glycopyrrolate and Neostigmine Methylsulphate. It is used to counter the effects of non-depolarising muscle relaxants prescribed during surgical procedures. A neuromuscular blockade occurs after surgery and moving the patient to the recovery room. An unsuspected neuromuscular block could result in low ventilation, low oxygen levels in tissues and absence of breathing.
Uses of Salreverse 5ml Injection:
- Reversal of muscle relaxation
How Salreverse 5ml Injection works:
Neostigmine inhibits the enzyme acetylcholinesterase to increase the availability of acetylcholine at the motor endplate. This has an antagonizing effect on the non-depolarising nerve and muscular blockade. Glycopyrrolate counteracts the undesirable effects caused by Neostigmine by blocking the action of acetylcholine present in nerves and smooth muscles. This combination reverses the muscle relaxation produced by medications that relax muscles.
