Introduction
Semafull 2mg Injection contains Semaglutide, a GLP-1 receptor agonist used to improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus, along with diet and exercise.
Semafull 2mg Injection contains Semaglutide 2 mg/1.5 mL and is supplied as a multi-dose vial. The vial provides four 0.25 mg doses and two 0.5 mg doses when used according to the prescribed dosing schedule.
Uses of Semafull 2mg Injection
Semafull 2mg Injection is used to:
Improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus: It is used along with diet and exercise.
Support ongoing diabetes treatment: The dose may be adjusted according to blood sugar control and tolerance.
Semafull is not used to treat type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis.
How Semafull 2mg Injection Works
Semafull 2mg Injection contains Semaglutide, which mimics GLP-1, a natural hormone involved in blood sugar regulation.
It increases insulin release when blood sugar is high and reduces glucagon release. Semaglutide also slows stomach emptying and may increase feelings of fullness.
Interaction of Semafull 2mg Injection with Other Medicines
Tell your doctor about all prescription medicines, over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, supplements and herbal products you take.
Insulin or sulfonylureas: These can increase the risk of low blood sugar when used with Semafull.
Oral medicines: Semaglutide may affect the absorption of some oral medicines because it slows stomach emptying.
Warfarin or other coumarin medicines: Your doctor may recommend closer monitoring.
Other GLP-1 receptor agonists: Do not combine Semafull with another Semaglutide-containing medicine or GLP-1 receptor agonist unless prescribed.
