Introduction to Sirotor 1mg Tablet
Sirotor 1mg Tablet is an immunosuppressant medication containing the active ingredient called Sirolimus. It helps prevent organ rejection in people who had a kidney transplant in combination with other medications. Following an organ transplant, our body’s immune system will try to reject the new organ. This medication controls the body’s immune response to accept the transplanted organ.
It also treats a rare lung disorder called S-LAM (sporadic lymphangioleiomyomatosis). The most common symptom of this disease is shortness of breath. Before taking this medication, you need to talk to your physician if you have liver disorders, intolerance to some sugars, a family history of skin cancer, high cholesterol, or other diseases. Sirotor 1mg Tablet is not recommended for adolescents and children under 18 years of age.
Avoid drinking grapefruit juice and eating grapefruits while taking this medication. Limit exposure to the sun while taking this medication. Use sunscreen with high SPF (sun protection factor) and wear protective clothing when you go outside. Avoid live vaccines during the treatment with Sirotor 1mg Tablet. Use effective birth control during the treatment and for at least twelve months after the last dose.

Sirotor 1mg Tablet is an immunosuppressant which decreases the activity of your body’s immune system and prevents it from attacking the transplanted organ.

Inform your healthcare professional about all the medicines you take, including prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, nutritional and vitamin supplements, and herbal products. Live vaccines interacting with Sirotor 1mg tablet may reduce effectiveness by causing undesirable side effects.

How to consume Sirotor 1mg Tablet
Always take Sirotor 1mg Tablet exactly as your physician has told you. Swallow the tablet whole with water. Do not crush or chew the tablets. This medicine must be consistently taken, either with or without food. Avoid drinking grapefruit juice and eating grapefruits while taking this medication.
Safety Advice for Sirotor 1mg Tablet
Breast Feeding
Do not breastfeed while taking Sirotor 1mg Tablet. You need to tell your doctor if you are breastfeeding before taking this medicine.
Alcohol
It is unknown whether consuming alcohol while taking a Sirotor 1mg tablet is safe. Please speak with your physician.
Liver
Inform your doctor if you have any history of liver transplantation before starting treatment with the Sirotor 1mg tablet. Because it is not recommended to use in such conditions, and medication should be used with caution in liver disease patients.
Lungs
Inform your doctor if you have any history of lung transplantation before starting treatment with the Sirotor 1mg tablet. Because it is not recommended to use it in such conditions, and medication should be used with caution in lung disease patients.
Driving
Taking a Sirotor 1mg tablet will not impact the body. Talk with your doctor for more information.
Pregnancy
Sirotor 1mg Tablet may harm your unborn baby. You need to inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to get pregnant before taking this medicine.
Side Effects of Sirotor 1mg Tablet
Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all medicines cause side effects, not everyone gets them.
Serious
- Severe allergic reactions (swelling of face, tongue, or mouth, difficulty in breathing)
- Low blood cell counts with kidney damage (haemolytic uraemic syndrome)

Use effective birth control during the treatment for at least twelve months, even after the last dose. This medicine can increase the risk of skin cancer, so use sunscreen protection.
