Introduction
Tanstrive 40mg Tablet contains Selpercatinib as its active ingredient. It is a prescription targeted cancer medicine taken by mouth.
Uses of Tanstrive 40mg
Tanstrive 40mg Tablet may be prescribed for cancers with specific RET (rearranged during transfection) gene alterations, including:
RET fusion-positive non-small cell lung cancer: For eligible patients with locally advanced or metastatic disease.
RET-mutant medullary thyroid cancer: For patients with advanced or metastatic disease requiring systemic treatment.
RET fusion-positive thyroid cancer: For selected advanced or metastatic disease.
Other RET fusion-positive solid tumours: In eligible patients whose disease has progressed after prior systemic treatment or when there are no satisfactory alternative treatment options.
A validated test is used to identify the relevant RET alteration before treatment.
How Tanstrive 40mg Tablet Works
Tanstrive 40mg Tablet contains Selpercatinib, a RET kinase inhibitor. It blocks abnormal RET signalling involved in the growth and survival of certain cancer cells.
This can slow the growth and spread of RET-driven tumours.
Interaction of Tanstrive 40mg Tablet with Other Medicines
Tell your doctor about all prescription medicines, over-the-counter medicines, vitamins and herbal supplements you take.
Acid-reducing medicines: Proton pump inhibitors, H2-receptor blockers and antacids can affect Selpercatinib absorption and may require specific timing or adjustment.
CYP3A inhibitors: Some medicines can increase Selpercatinib levels and may require dose modification.
CYP3A inducers: These can reduce Selpercatinib levels and should generally be avoided.
Medicines that prolong QT interval: These may increase the risk of heart rhythm problems.
CYP2C8, CYP3A and P-glycoprotein substrates: Selpercatinib can affect the levels of certain medicines.
Give your doctor a complete medicine list before starting treatment.
Storage Conditions
Store Tanstrive 40mg Tablet according to the storage instructions on the product packaging.
