Obeda 2mg FlexTouch is used for:

• Type 2 diabetes mellitus: To improve blood sugar control in adults along with diet and exercise.

• Chronic weight management: Semaglutide may be prescribed as part of a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity in appropriate adults.

Obeda contains Semaglutide, which activates GLP-1 receptors involved in blood sugar and appetite regulation.

It increases insulin release when blood sugar is high, reduces glucagon release and slows stomach emptying. These effects can improve blood sugar control and reduce hunger and food intake.

Tell your doctor about all medicines, supplements and herbal products you take.

• Insulin or sulfonylureas: Can increase the risk of low blood sugar.

• Oral medicines: Delayed stomach emptying may affect absorption of some oral medicines.

• Other GLP-1 receptor agonists: Do not combine Obeda with another Semaglutide-containing medicine or GLP-1 receptor agonist unless prescribed.

• Medicines requiring monitoring: Tell your doctor about medicines that require regular monitoring.

• Store Obeda 2mg FlexTouch at 2°C to 8°C.

• Do not freeze.

• Do not use if frozen.

• Protect from light.

• Keep out of reach of children.

• Follow the pack instructions after first use.

Use Obeda 2mg FlexTouch exactly as prescribed.

The 2mg/1.5mL presentation delivers 0.25mg or 0.5mg doses. It is injected under the skin once weekly into the abdomen, thigh or upper arm.

The 0.25mg dose is generally used when starting Semaglutide treatment. Your doctor will decide when to increase the dose.

Common side effects include 

• Nausea 

• vomiting 

• diarrhoea 

• constipation

• abdominal pain 

• decreased appetite 

• headache 

• dizziness.

Serious side effects:

• Severe or persistent abdominal pain

• Severe allergic reactions

• Persistent vomiting or diarrhoea with dehydration

• Gallstones or gallbladder inflammation

• Sudden or worsening changes in vision

• Low blood sugar when used with insulin or sulfonylureas

Seek medical attention if severe or persistent symptoms occur.

• The 2mg on the pen is the total Semaglutide content.

• The pen is used to deliver 0.25mg or 0.5mg doses.

• Use Obeda on the same day each week.

• Do not increase the dose without medical advice.

• Rotate injection sites.

• Stay hydrated if vomiting or diarrhoea occurs.

• Monitor blood sugar if Obeda is prescribed for diabetes.

• Do not share the pen or needles.
