Introduction
Palborest 125 mg is a targeted therapy containing the active constituent palbociclib. It belongs to the group of anticancer medications known as cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitors. It is used in treating hormone receptor-positive, human epidermal growth factor 2 negative advanced or metastatic (has spread to other parts of the body) breast cancer. Cancer is a condition in which cells multiply in an uncontrolled and abnormal manner. It is given in combination with certain other anticancer medications.
The common side effects that are likely to associate withPalborest 125 mg capsule are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, tiredness, hair loss, dry skin, rash, infections, nose bleed, decreased appetite, low blood cell counts, swelling of lips and mouth, changes in taste, dry eye, blurred vision, and increased tearing. Inform your doctor if any of these side effects disturb or persist in you.
Inform your healthcare provider if you are allergic to Palborest 125 mg capsule and its ingredients. Before taking this medicine, it is vital to inform your doctor if you have any signs of infections (fever, chills, or sore throat), liver disorders, kidney disorders, or intolerance to some sugars. Consult your physician immediately if you experience symptoms such as dry cough, chest pain, or difficulty breathing, as it could indicate lung inflammation. Make sure you inform your physician of all the medicines, including supplements and herbal medicines; you are taking before you start treatment with this medication. Use effective birth control during the treatment and at least three weeks after the last dose. It is not recommended for adolescents and children under 18 years of age.

- Treatment of hormone receptor (HR)-positive, human epidermal growth factor 2 (HER2)-negative advanced or metastatic breast cancer.
How Palborest 125mg Tablet works
Palborest 125 mg capsule works by blocking the protein called cyclin-dependent kinases 4 and 6, which are vital for the division and growth of cells. By blocking these proteins, this medication slows the growth and prevents the cancer cells from spreading.
Interaction of Palborest 125mg Tablet with other drugs
Inform your doctor about all medications, including prescribed, over-the-counter, nutritional or vitamin supplements and herbal products that you take or have taken before the treatment. Concurrent use of Palborest 125 mg capsule with CYP3A4 inhibitors such as fentanyl has reported increased fentanyl toxicity. Certain medications may interact with the effectiveness of this drug.
Storage conditions
- Keep Palborest 125 mg capsule out of sight and reach of children.
- Store at 20°C to 25°C.
How to take Palborest 125mg Tablet
Take Palborest 125 mg capsule exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Take this medication once a day at the same time with food. Swallow this capsule as a whole with a glass of water. Avoid crushing, breaking, or chewing the capsule.
