Introduction
Obeda 4mg FlexTouch contains Semaglutide 4mg in 3mL and is supplied as a prefilled pen. The 4mg/3mL presentation is used to deliver a 1mg dose of Semaglutide. Current Indian product information lists Obeda for type 2 diabetes and chronic weight management.
Uses of Obeda 4mg FlexTouch
Obeda 4mg FlexTouch is used for:
Type 2 diabetes mellitus: To improve blood sugar control in adults along with diet and exercise.
Chronic weight management: Semaglutide may be prescribed as part of a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity in appropriate adults.
How Obeda 4mg FlexTouch Works
Obeda contains Semaglutide, which activates GLP-1 receptors involved in blood sugar regulation and appetite control.
It increases insulin release when blood sugar is high and reduces glucagon release. It also slows stomach emptying, which can increase fullness and reduce food intake.
Interaction of Obeda 4mg FlexTouch with Other Medicines
Tell your doctor about all medicines, supplements and herbal products you take.
Insulin or sulfonylureas: May increase the risk of hypoglycaemia.
Oral medicines: Delayed stomach emptying may affect absorption of some oral medicines.
Other GLP-1 receptor agonists: Do not combine Obeda with another Semaglutide-containing medicine or GLP-1 receptor agonist unless prescribed.
Medicines requiring monitoring: Tell your doctor about medicines that require regular monitoring.
