Introduction
Olymviq 2mg FlexTouch contains Semaglutide 2mg in 1.5mL and is supplied as a prefilled pen. This presentation is designed to deliver 0.25mg or 0.5mg doses of Semaglutide. Current product information describes Olymviq as a Semaglutide product used for weight management.
Uses of Olymviq 2mg FlexTouch
Olymviq 2mg FlexTouch is used for:
Chronic weight management: It may be used in appropriate adults with obesity or overweight with a weight-related health condition, along with a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity.
Cardiovascular risk reduction: Semaglutide may reduce the risk of major cardiovascular events in certain adults with obesity or overweight and established cardiovascular disease.
How Olymviq 2mg FlexTouch Works
Olymviq contains Semaglutide, which activates GLP-1 receptors. It helps regulate appetite, food intake and blood sugar levels.
By slowing stomach emptying and increasing feelings of fullness, Semaglutide can reduce hunger and calorie intake. It also increases insulin release when blood sugar is high and reduces glucagon release.
Interaction of Olymviq 2mg FlexTouch with Other Medicines
Tell your doctor about all medicines, supplements and herbal products you use.
Insulin or sulfonylureas: The risk of low blood sugar may increase when these are combined with Semaglutide.
Oral medicines: Delayed stomach emptying can affect the absorption of some oral medicines.
Other GLP-1 receptor agonists: Do not combine Olymviq with another Semaglutide-containing medicine or GLP-1 receptor agonist unless prescribed.
Medicines requiring monitoring: Tell your doctor about medicines requiring regular monitoring.

Store Olymviq 2mg FlexTouch at 2°C to 8°C in a refrigerator.
