Introduction
Olymviq 4mg FlexTouch contains Semaglutide and is supplied as a prefilled pen containing 4mg of Semaglutide in 3mL. The pen is used to deliver the prescribed Semaglutide dose under the skin. Current product listings describe Olymviq as a Semaglutide product used for weight management.
Uses of Olymviq 4mg FlexTouch
Olymviq 4mg FlexTouch is used for:
Chronic weight management: It may be used along with a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity in appropriate adults with obesity or overweight and a weight-related health condition.
Cardiovascular risk reduction: Semaglutide may reduce the risk of major cardiovascular events in certain adults with obesity or overweight and established cardiovascular disease.
How Olymviq 4mg FlexTouch Works
Olymviq contains Semaglutide, which activates GLP-1 receptors involved in appetite and blood sugar regulation.
It slows stomach emptying, increases feelings of fullness and reduces hunger and food intake. Semaglutide also supports blood sugar regulation by increasing insulin release when blood sugar levels are high and reducing glucagon release.
Interaction of Olymviq 4mg FlexTouch with Other Medicines
Tell your doctor about all medicines, supplements and herbal products you take.
Insulin or sulfonylureas: These may increase the risk of low blood sugar when used with Semaglutide.
Oral medicines: Delayed stomach emptying may affect the absorption of some medicines taken by mouth.
Other GLP-1 receptor agonists: Do not use Olymviq with another Semaglutide-containing medicine or GLP-1 receptor agonist unless prescribed.
Medicines requiring monitoring: Tell your doctor if you use medicines that require regular monitoring.
Storage Conditions
Store Olymviq 4mg FlexTouch in a refrigerator at 2°C to 8°C.
Do not freeze.
Do not use the pen if it has been frozen.
Protect the pen from light.
Keep it out of reach of children.
Follow the product packaging for instructions after first use.
How to Use
Use Olymviq 4mg FlexTouch exactly as prescribed.
The 4mg/3mL pen is designed to deliver 1mg doses. It is injected under the skin once weekly into the abdomen, thigh or upper arm.
The dose may be increased gradually depending on the treatment plan. Do not assume that the 4mg stated on the pen is the amount to inject at one time.
Do not inject into a vein or muscle. Use a new needle for each injection and do not share the pen.

Pregnancy
Do not use Olymviq during pregnancy. Semaglutide should generally be stopped at least 2 months before a planned pregnancy.

Tell your doctor before surgery or deep sedation because delayed stomach emptying may increase the risk of aspiration.
Liver
Tell your doctor if you have liver disease before using Olymviq.

Alcohol may worsen nausea or vomiting and may affect blood sugar control.
Driving
Olymviq does not usually impair driving, but low blood sugar or dizziness may affect concentration when it is used with other diabetes medicines.
