Introduction
GLIPIQ 4mg Injection contains Semaglutide, a glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist. It is supplied as a multiple-dose injection containing Semaglutide 4 mg/3 mL (1.34 mg/mL). The product is intended for once-weekly subcutaneous use.
GLIPIQ 4mg Injection is used as part of a weight management plan along with a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity. It is a prescription medicine and should be used under medical supervision.
Uses of GLIPIQ 4mg Injection
GLIPIQ 4mg Injection may be prescribed for:
Long-term weight management: Semaglutide may be used in adults with obesity.
Overweight with weight-related health problems: It may be prescribed for adults who are overweight and have a weight-related health condition.
GLIPIQ should be used along with a suitable diet and regular physical activity. The dose is selected and adjusted by the doctor based on the individual's response and treatment plan. Do not change the dose without medical advice.
How GLIPIQ 4mg Injection works
Semaglutide works in a similar way to the natural hormone GLP-1. It acts on areas of the brain involved in appetite regulation, helping increase feelings of fullness and reduce food intake.
It also slows stomach emptying, which may help you feel full for longer after eating. These effects can support weight management when combined with a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity.
Interactions of GLIPIQ 4mg Injection with other medicines
Tell your doctor about all medicines, supplements, and herbal products you are taking before starting GLIPIQ 4mg Injection.
Insulin and sulfonylureas: Using Semaglutide with insulin or medicines such as sulfonylureas can increase the risk of low blood sugar. Your doctor may adjust the dose of these medicines.
Medicines taken by mouth: Semaglutide can slow stomach emptying and may affect the absorption of some oral medicines.
Other weight-management medicines: Do not combine GLIPIQ with another Semaglutide-containing medicine, GLP-1 receptor agonist, or other weight-management injection unless advised by your doctor.
Other diabetes medicines: Tell your doctor if you use medicines to control blood glucose so that your treatment can be monitored safely.

Safety Advice
Pregnancy
Semaglutide should not be used during pregnancy. If you become pregnant while using GLIPIQ, contact your doctor promptly. Women planning a pregnancy should discuss treatment with their doctor beforehand. Semaglutide should generally be stopped at least 2 months before a planned pregnancy.
Breast Feeding
Tell your doctor if you are breastfeeding before using GLIPIQ 4mg Injection. Your doctor will decide whether treatment is appropriate based on your individual circumstances.
Lungs
Semaglutide does not have specific routine lung-related precautions. Tell your doctor about any significant respiratory condition and inform your healthcare team if you are scheduled for surgery or a procedure requiring general anaesthesia or deep sedation.
Liver
Tell your doctor if you have liver disease before starting GLIPIQ 4mg Injection. Your doctor will decide whether any additional monitoring or treatment adjustments are needed.
Alcohol
Alcohol may worsen gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea and vomiting and can contribute to dehydration. If you have diabetes or use medicines that can cause low blood sugar, discuss alcohol consumption with your doctor.
Driving
GLIPIQ 4mg Injection does not usually affect the ability to drive. However, dizziness, fatigue, or low blood sugar may occur, particularly when Semaglutide is used with insulin or a sulfonylurea. Do not drive if you experience symptoms that affect your concentration or alertness.
Side Effects
Common side effects of GLIPIQ 4mg Injection may include:
Nausea
Vomiting
Diarrhoea
Constipation
Abdominal pain
Decreased appetite
Indigestion

Fatigue
These effects are more common when treatment is started or the dose is increased and may improve as the body adjusts.
