Semafull 4mg Injection is used to:

• Improve blood sugar control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus: It is used along with diet and exercise.

• Support ongoing diabetes treatment: It may be prescribed alone or with other diabetes medicines when additional glycaemic control is needed.

Semafull is not used to treat type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis.

Semafull 4mg Injection contains Semaglutide, which acts like GLP-1, a hormone involved in blood sugar regulation.

It increases insulin release when blood glucose is high and reduces glucagon release. It also slows stomach emptying and may increase feelings of fullness. These effects help improve blood sugar control.

Tell your doctor about all prescription medicines, over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, supplements and herbal products you take.

• Insulin or sulfonylureas: These may increase the risk of low blood sugar when used with Semafull.

• Oral medicines: Delayed stomach emptying may affect the absorption of some medicines taken by mouth.

• Warfarin or other coumarin medicines: Closer monitoring may be required when Semaglutide treatment is started.

• Other GLP-1 receptor agonists: Do not use Semafull with another Semaglutide-containing medicine or GLP-1 receptor agonist unless prescribed.

• Store Semafull 4mg Injection in a refrigerator at 2°C to 8°C.

• Do not freeze the vial.

• Do not use the medicine if it has been frozen.

• Protect it from light.

• Keep it out of the sight and reach of children.

• Follow the product packaging for instructions on storage and handling after the vial is first used.

Use Semafull 4mg Injection exactly as prescribed by your doctor.

Semafull 4mg/3 mL is a multi-dose vial designed to provide four 1 mg doses. It is administered under the skin once a week.

The injection may be given in the abdomen, thigh or upper arm. Use the administration technique demonstrated by your doctor or nurse.

Do not inject Semafull into a vein or muscle. Use the supplied or recommended syringe and needle according to the product instructions. Do not reuse needles and do not share the vial or injection equipment with another person.

Common side effects of Semafull 4mg Injection may include:

• Nausea

• Vomiting

• Diarrhoea

• Constipation

• Abdominal pain

• Decreased appetite

• Indigestion

• Headache

• Dizziness

• Fatigue

Serious side effects:

• Severe or persistent abdominal pain, which may indicate pancreatitis.

• Persistent vomiting or diarrhoea causing dehydration or kidney problems.

• Gallstones or gallbladder inflammation.

• Severe allergic reactions.

• Severe low blood sugar when used with insulin or sulfonylureas.

• Sudden or worsening changes in vision.

• Severe gastrointestinal reactions.

• Use Semafull exactly as prescribed.

• Follow the instructions for measuring each dose from the multi-dose vial.

• Use a new sterile needle and syringe for each injection.

• Do not share the vial, syringe or needle with another person.

• Keep the vial refrigerated as directed.

• Drink enough fluids if you develop vomiting or diarrhoea.

• Tell your doctor if you have diabetic retinopathy or changes in vision.

• Tell your doctor if you have severe problems with delayed stomach emptying.

• Inform your doctor before surgery or deep sedation.

• Tell your doctor if you have a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN 2.
